How you answer the questions below will help determine if you are building an emotional or business rational team

—1: Are you rationalizing a team member poor performance because you like them?

—2: Are you running your team as a business or as a school (you spend too much time teaching)?

—3: Are you trying to be fair by giving everyone a chance or do you evaluate who does what best?

—4: If you don’t have a team, do you often feel alone?

—5: Do you tend to give a team member more chances than is business smart?

—6: How quickly do you cut your Team member who is not performing?

—7: Are you feeding team members leads or clients too generously?

—8: Is feeling needed by your team something that makes you feel good?

—9: Do you become friends (engage in social activities) on a regular basis with your Team members?

—10: When a team member quits your team, do you feel betrayed or very hurt?

—The answers to these questions is key to determine if you are making smart business decisions or emotional decisions. An emotional team performs the worse, creates dependency which turns into resentment and puts too much pressure on the leader. Think about it!!!
