Real Estate Influencer Tip: The Biz Plan.

  • — The business plan, in theory, is a smart activity to engage in. However, in practice, the actual follow through of such is historically low. The reason isn’t quite the lack of commitment by the Agent, but rather the things that come up, good and bad, that they didn’t plan for. The second and actually more important challenge of a business plan is the level of commitment an Agent has with their plan. Let’s understand commitment first. When we commit to something, we are driven to remain consistent with that commitment. That drive of committing to a plan will lower our ability to be flexible. Flexible to see opportunities, flexible to adjust our approach and flexible to accept new ideas. An agent will succeed far greater being flexible than being committed to a plan. There is more, if the Need to grow is not strong enough, then the plan is destined to fail. (Diets). The last fact is that most plans cover things you have done or is a slight “stretch” of the things you have done. Business plans will create reliable and predictable results. It’s safe . That’s why investors love them. The Influencer understands the best way to grow is “top down” . This starts with the driving force: the Need. “We will achieve what we truly need, not just want”. Find your Real Need..then develop a plan to increase your probability to meet the needs. These have to include Branding , Positioning and setting your mindset for success. Leave the actual detail steps to a minimum, commit to the objective: What do I have to do to meet my need? . Your mind will figure it out, with the flexibility needed.
