Great, give me your card and I won’t call

Influencer Tip: The business card exchange:

  • The Influencer understands they always attempt to gain authority when they can. When you give someone info, they will feel obligated to you (Reciprocity), in order to absolve that feeling, they will ask for your card to make you feel they are interested. Once you give them your card, they are done. The Influencer will not give their card out. Many don’t even carry them. They will get the other person’s info . It gives them authority. Plus, when someone gives you something that has their info, that is a form of commitment (another law of Influence). Exchanging cards is keeping the authority even. You want to be in authority. You will be in control now.
