- One word that an Influencer tries to avoid is the word “worth”.
- When a client asks, “What is my home worth”? When we own something the worth of what we own can be tied to our self worth. There becomes a deeper emotional attachment.
- If a client believes, for example, that their home is worth 800K and you respond by saying it’s worth 750K , even with the comps backup, you are subliminally saying to your client: you are worth less than you believe. Not good.
- The Influencer changes the words to avoid the emotional attachment. A better response would be ” To make this home as compelling as possible, I would price it at $750K. ” Notice, the Influencer avoided the word worth, even though the client used it in their question.
