Real Estate Influencer Tip: The Round Table Position.

 

—The Influencer understands the importance of always evaluating a situation and the objective they want to accomplish. In the situation presented, where you are making a presentation to the main decision maker, who is very influential, and his/her team, your seating position is key. The Influencer understands the following subliminal factors.

1:    When a highly influential person speaks, anybody in close proximity of him/her will end up in that person’s “Influencing Wake.”  This means the person talking after the Influencer will have diluted authority and perceive expertise, if they are in that wake. To disarm that, there must be a physical “break” or distance between you and the Influencer. Watch the News, when the weather or Sports reporter comes on, there is a physical barrier and focus away from the anchor person (The most influential person ) .

2:   In a round table, the most Influential or authority figure becomes the center point of authority. Being positioned at the counter point is best, which enables you to create a center point of authority.

3:   The Real Estate Influencer understands that after the highly influential person speaks, there is an emotional wake of Influence as well. It is very important to shift the Influence from them to you. Wait a few seconds before you start to get into your presentation. Even something as simple as shuffling papers or picking up a pen and writing one word, will suffice . Using a prop will turn the focus to you. Remember, have them focus first before you start your presentation.
