- The life blood of developing a relationship based business. The Influencer understands that they must WORK to get referrals. The simple asking for it or the tag line is the “panhandle” referral, where if you get one, it will be a “loose change” one. Avoid asking, it cheapens making a client feel special. Referrals are triggered by the law of Reciprocity. Here are some, yet effective ways
- Stay in touch via phone or in person with clients. One of my RE clients, comm over 2M a year, makes it a habit of taking a different client out for drinks every Monday evening
- Stay in touch with clients . Visit them, get involved to be seen by them .
- And finally be consistent with staying in touch with clients, not just a holiday card, but PICK UP the phone and limit the email only relationship.
